Wild Explorers

Inspired by those old school summers of our youth when you and your friends from around the neighborhood would spend the entire day outside, creating your own fun and returning once the sun set and the street lights flickered on.

You were under-scheduled, and unbothered. Screens were a last resort, reserved only for rainy days. Your parents never quite knew what you were up to, but trusted that you were safe and happy in the company of your friends and nature. You were wild, and care free.

Our Wild Explorers collection is inspired by the simple beauty of a childhood spent outdoors. Which is your favorite memory you hope to share with your children? The magic of seeing fireflies to flicker to life at dusk, the muddy satisfaction of hiking through the woods, the untamed beauty in a field of wild flowers...or all of it? We won't make you choose. We're sure these prints will inspire both nostalgia and sweet dreams all around.

India of my Dreams

The collection that started it all!  

After searching high and low for culturally inspired pajamas to incorporate into our family's Diwali celebrations (the Hindu “festival of lights”) and turning up empty handed, we set out to make our own. 

A playful, modern take on traditional Indian motifs, these elegant patterns were hand painted by our artist in Jaipur, India, (they are literal works of art!) and are exclusive to buboodee.  Each pattern holds special significance to the Diwali holiday, and are the perfect way to bring a modern touch to this traditional holiday for our South Asian families.  While clearly culturally inspired by Diwali, the patterns are fun and appealing for children and families across cultures year-round, particularly those who would appreciate something unique and beautiful.

Fall festivus

Our favorite season of all! Perfect sweater weather, the kids are back in school, and the anticipation of cozy season slowly descends as the days get shorter and the weather cools. These patterns are inspired by some of our favorite sights and colors of the season, and were intentionally chosen to be festive enough for fall, and still delight year-round, once the season’s festivities are through.

Garden Party

Tea parties, fairy gardens, pillow fights, and late night giggles.

Can we say "peak girl-hood"? This collection took shape as I planned my daughter's first birthday "par-tea", an amalgamation of all things girly, floral, carefree, and whimsical. Inspired by girlhood dreams of princess tea parties in the garden amidst the first blooms of spring, and reimagined in block print as a gentle nod to our Indian roots.

Can't you just hear the birds chirping as your little ones awake to play in these gorgeous prints, whilst you enjoy your hot morning beverage in peace? A sweet reverie, indeed.
