Meet the Founder
Always creative, curious, and an avid traveler from a young age (I made my first solo-trip to India at age 8!), "buboodee" is an amalgamation of my long standing passion for culture, travel, and the outdoors, channeled into my desire to share these same interests with my children and our community.
As a parent, I often reflect on my experience growing up as both Indian and American, and see this in my own children (my buboodees) every day, which inspired me to create "buboodee"--a space for celebrating all things childhood, its sweet nostalgia, and cultural exploration and inclusivity in a fun, lighthearted, and approachable way.
The Buboodee Beginning
"buboodee" is a family-owned children's clothing boutique inspired by culture, travel, and childhood nostalgia.
As an Indian-American family that celebrates western holidays alongside traditional Indian holidays like Diwali, we love blending elements from our heritage with familiar western traditions our kids recognize—like holiday pajamas. I was moved to start “buboodee” after searching high and low for culturally inspired patterns to incorporate into my family’s travels abroad and Diwali celebrations, and turning up empty-handed. Knowing there are other families like mine, I set out to fill a void in the market, creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces for modern families who appreciate culture, inclusivity, and blending traditions to reflect their cross cultural identities.
While developing these patterns, it became evident to me that so many things about childhood and being a child are the same across cultures and borders. Whether it's exploring the outdoors, finding beauty in nature, or seeking the simple joy of feeling special and loved, there's more that unites children than differentiates them. Buboodee’s patterns reflect this, celebrating childhood universal sense of wonder and playfulness, its nostalgia, and natural inclination towards cultural inclusivity, one cozy pair of pajamas at a time.

Natural Fibers Only
No polyester or microplastics here! Our premium bamboo pajamas are thicker and more durable than most brands, while staying silky smooth and temperature-regulating for sensitive skin.

Our Designs
That playground confidence and willingness to try something new continues in every thoughtful pattern and design decision. With thoughtful details like two way zippers for quick diaper changes, as well as convertible footies with grips to accommodate toasty feet as well as sensory development and proprioception, our pajamas blend seamlessly blend both beauty and function. Our fabric is also remarkably stretchy and durable, ensuring you and your little ones will enjoy many nights of cozy snuggles and long lasting wear.
Our patterns are designed to be playful enough for a child, but elevated enough to be enjoyed by the modern parent, who enjoys something cute, but not kitschy. Our collections are also intentionally designed to be festive enough for the season, and not so niche that they can't be enjoyed well after the season passes. We release a few thoughtful collections each season, and make every effort to announce our collections at the beginning of the season so you can thoughtfully plan and prepare your purchases--no surprise drops eliciting impulse purchases, buyer's remorse, FOMO, and over consumption. It might be bad for business, but great for your mental load.
